No, Please note the probability of occurrence of this situation will be slightly higher for those cats who get used to using the traditional cat litter box. It means your cats need time to adjust to the automatic cat litter box, normally 3-5 days. Meanwhile, you can deal with it with a pad or trap pedal.

The ChouBox is suitable for any cats over 2.5-22 lbs in weight and over 6 months old in age. There is no particular cat excluded from using ChouBox, and the above is simply our recommendation. In regard to how many cats can occupy ChouBox, we would suggest no more than two.

Yes. We highly recommend waiting longer for the litter to clump and make the scooping process easier. When your cat unfortunately gets diarrhea, please set the “auto mode” to “10 minutes” which means ChouBox will automatically scoop 10 minutes after your cat finishes its business.
       Setup process: on the display, sequentially select “Settings”-“Scoop Settings”-“Auto Mode”-“10 minutes”.

No, ChouBox can be used without an app, and all functions can be used via the knob on the display panel. We offer the app as an option, and it is avaliable on both iOS and Android devices(available on Google play and Apple Store). In addition, the app requires no extra payment.
But if you want to use the app, please note that it needs a 2.4 GHZ WiFi to connect the ChouBox.

The Beep sound indicates cleaning litter, flattening litter, etc is finished. To mute the Beep sound, please connect the ChouBox, and in the app, select “Do Not Disturb” or ”Mute the Beep Sound” in the main interface.

If the waste drawer malfunctions, please,
(1)select “Disable the bin” on the ChouBox display and take off its lid for temporary use. The scooping, flattening litter functions, etc will still be working.
(2)contact us via [email protected] to claim a warranty and we will arrange a new waste drawer lid for you as soon as possible.
(3)When you receive the new waste drawer lid, install it correctly and select “Enable the bin” on the ChouBox display. Now it’s for use.

Placing your ChouBox in the same location as your previous litter box should help your cat adjust to the change. Also using the same litter can make your cat feel more comfortable. Lastly, we suggest placing your cat inside ChouBox to help them become familiar with it

ChouBox is equiped with a 10L/610 inch collection box that will release you from cleaning it for up to two weeks.

ChouBox is designed to cover odors with a sealed collection box and a UV emitter. However, We still recommend cleaning it every 5 to 7 days at least to prevent bacteria breeding.

ChouBox is partially washable. You can easily detach the ChouBox and wash the upper cover (without the lid), trash bin, and ball.

You can use any trash bag as long as it fits the bin. If the size is incorrect, it would cause cat litter to leak and disrupt operation. We strongly suggest using our ChouBox custom bags to prevent any possible issues.

We designed a deep groove for the litter ball in the stage of development to prevent the situation you mentioned, please rest assured that. In addition,we just launch our cat litter trap pedal as add-ons, which can effectively prevent litters from beening brought out and mess the floor when your kitten left the litter ball.

1) ChouBox is capable of handling almost all clumping cat litter. Based on a cat litter review we conducted, a mixture of cat litter of 50% bentonite and 50% tofu sand would work best for cats and for using the CHOUBOX.
2) Please note the cat litter level SHOULD be under the "MAX" line.
